Cookie policy

What a cookie is
A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser. It can do things as different as remembering that you are signed in or counting how many people visit a page. Alongside cookies there are other forms of storage — such as localStorage — that work in a similar way and that the law treats the same, so we list them here too.
What this site uses
Very little, and we tell you all of it. There are no advertising pixels and no social buttons tracking your browsing, and fonts and icons are served from our own server, not a third party's.
We do use Google Analytics to know how many visits the site gets and which pages are viewed most. It is aggregate measurement: it tells us twenty people looked at a car, not who they are. And it is not switched on unless you accept it: until then Google's tag sits on the page disabled, your browser never contacts Google and none of its cookies are set.
Strictly necessary
They make the site work: keeping the management panel signed in, protecting the forms against forged submissions and remembering your cookie choice. They need no permission and cannot be switched off; without them the site does not work.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
bp_panel
|
Us | Keeps the management panel signed in and protects the forms with a single-use token. It is only set when you open a page with a form or enter the panel. | Until you close the browser |
bp_cookies
|
Us | Stores which categories you have accepted, so we do not ask again on every page. | 24 months |
bp_comparador
localStorage |
Us | Stores in your own browser the references of the cars you add to the comparison tool. It never leaves your device and is not sent to any server. | Until you delete it |
bp_bot_sid
sessionStorage |
Us | Identifies your conversation with the assistant while it is open, so the messages link together. It is only created if you open the assistant and disappears when you close the tab. | Until you close the browser |
bp_bot_hist
sessionStorage |
Us | Stores the messages of the current conversation in your own browser so they are not lost when you change page. It is cleared when you close the tab. | Until you close the browser |
bp_faq_sid
sessionStorage |
Us | Identifies your visit to the frequent questions bot so the same query is not counted twice. It is only created if you open that bot and disappears when you close the tab. | Until you close the browser |
Preferences
These would remember choices of yours, such as language or how you like to view the catalogue.
None at the moment.
Analytics
They tell us how many people visit the site and which pages are viewed most, always in aggregate: we use Google Analytics. They are never switched on without your permission, and they stop being set if you withdraw it.

The two bots set no cookies
Neither the assistant nor the frequent questions bot sets a single cookie. The little they need to keep — a conversation identifier and the messages you have typed so far — lives in the tab's sessionStorage and is cleared as soon as you close it. It never travels to a server on its own and cannot be used to recognise you on another visit. It appears in the table above because the law treats that storage exactly like a cookie, and it sits under strictly necessary because without it the bot you opened cannot follow the conversation.
How we ask for your permission and how you withdraw it
Strictly necessary cookies do not need your permission: without them the site does not work, and the law expressly exempts them. Nothing else is installed until you accept it.
The first time you visit we show a notice with three equally prominent options — accept all, reject all, or configure them one by one. Rejecting costs exactly what accepting costs: one click. And if you reject, the site works just as well: nothing is withheld from you because of it.
You can change your mind whenever you like through the "Cookie settings" link in the footer of every page. Withdrawing permission is as easy as giving it.
Your choice is stored for 24 months. If we add any new service in that time, we will ask you again.
What we record about your choice
So that we can demonstrate we asked you, we store a random identifier that does not identify you, which categories you accepted, the version of this policy, your browser and the date. Your IP address is stored as an irreversible cryptographic digest: it lets us detect abuse, but not reconstruct your IP.
Embedded third-party content
Some vehicle listings include a video. We host it on YouTube, which means that playing it connects your browser to Google, which may set its own cookies.
So that this does not happen behind your back, the video does not load on its own: instead you will see a panel telling you so and a button to load it. Until you press it — or until you accept the marketing category in the settings panel — your browser does not talk to Google. We also use the enhanced-privacy domain youtube-nocookie.com.
Google is responsible for its own cookies. You can read its privacy policy and its cookie information.
How to delete them from your browser
Besides our own panel, you can block or delete cookies from your browser settings. Bear in mind that if you block the strictly necessary ones you will not be able to send the forms or access the management panel.
Almost all of them also offer a private browsing mode that discards cookies when you close the window.
